Training Target: To acknowledge with the stages of preparation and implementation of ISO 9001:2008 and ISO IWA 1:2005 international standards requirements in medical organizations. To inform about main stages of implementation and methods of minimization and optimization of implementation costs.
Training title is relevant to all medical institutions that are interested in the development and continuous improvement of the quality of medical services and are willing to learn more about the practical implementation of management systems in the activities of medical organizations.

First day (10.00-18.00)

  • The concept of WHO in the field of medical treatment quality.

  • ISO 9001: 2008. Quality policy of medical treatment service in the clinic.
  • Balanced system of medical treatment quality targets (BSC - Balanced Score Card).
  • Evolution and basics of management in the field of quality systems.
  • History of ISO 9000 series standards.

Second day (10.00 – 18.00)

ISO 9001:2008 standard requirements.

  • ISO 9001: 2008. Clinical indicators of medical treatment quality. Clinical indicators as a tool for evidence-based medicine.
  • ISO 9001: 2008. Formulary system of medical organization’s provision with medical drugs. The procedure of implementation a new kind of drug.
  • ISO 9001: 2008. Measuring, analytical and medical equipment in the Clinic:
    Registration, certification, qualification, technical control and metrology support.
  • Emergency preparedness, operating instructions, test methods in clinical laboratories.
  • ISO 9001: 2008. Clinical protocols of medical care (standardized clinical protocol of medical care): structure, content requirements.
  • Local (internal) protocols of medical care and clinical course of the patient (algorithm): structure, procedure of development and approval.
  • Unexpected and unpredictable results of medical care.
  • Monitoring and control of non-conformities. Quality control of complications; internal expert assessment of doctor’s activity.
  • Work with patients’ claims and other stakeholders.

Third day (10.00 – 18.00)

  • Internal audit of medical care and staffing in the Clinic (in compliance with regulations of the Ministry of Health).
  • Internal audit of QMS. Plans of corrective and preventive actions. Plan for continuous improvement of medical care quality in the clinic. Top management review analysis (Chief Doctor) of medical treatment QMS in the clinic.
  • The sociological surveys of patients and their representatives, medical personnel in the structure of patients’ satisfaction evaluation and quality of provided services.
  • Development and implementation of QMS. Documentation of QMS.
  • Documentation of QMS audits.
  • Measures taken by medical organizations during the implementation of medical treatment QMS in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001: 2008.
  • Orders of the Clinic, changes in the organizational structure of the Clinic, amendments to the Regulations on subdivisions and job descriptions.
  • Training of specialists on the basics of quality management system, training of internal auditors..
  • Continuous improvement.
