Training Target: Study of ISO 31001 requirements and methods of risk management. Case studies on the practical implementation of requirements, as well as practical work on the identification, assessment and management of risks.

TRAINING PROGRAM

Training duration: 2 days

First day ( 10.00-18.00)

  • Risk management as a tool for sustainable success (ISO 9004:2009), a component of social responsibility (ISO 26000:2010) and the support of managerial solutions. Structure, methodology and purpose of ISO 31001 series standards.
  • The evolution of "risk". Understanding of risk as the affect of uncertainty on objectives. Factor of uncertainty and risks. The terminology of risks management in a new dictionary ISO Guide 73:2009.
  • Principles of successful risks management.
  • The structure of Risks Management Framework and PDCA cycle. Its components and the sequence of implementation:

    • Understanding of the organization and its context.
    • The risk management policy.
    • Responsibility, competence, allocation of powers at the organizational level.
    • Integration into organizational processes.
    • The establishment of mechanisms for internal and external communications and reporting.
  • Processes (stage) of risk management:

    • Maintenance of internal and external communications and consultations.
    • Establishing an internal and external context.
    • Determination of risk criteria, risk identification, risk analysis, risk assessment.
    • Processing of risk and selection of its options: the avoiding of risk, the elimination of risk sources, change of probability, sharing of risk with other party (insurance, outsourcing, hedging).
    • Risk treatment plan.
    • Monitoring and review of processes.

Second day ( 10.00-18.00)

6. Documentation of risk management: risk management plans, plans for liaison (communications), risk matrix, risk profile, etc.
7. Audit of risk management and risks of the audit process.
8. ISO / IEC 31010: 2009, its structure and content. Review of technical risks assessment methods in ISO / IEC 31010: HAZOP, FMEA, FTA, PHA, ETA and others.
9. Risk management - future of the majority of companies. ISO 31001 series standards – the auxiliary tool for risk managers.

Final Test
