Training Target: To acknowledge the participants with the requirements of international standard, give an interpretation of the requirements for their implementation, to explain the algorithm of system implementation, learn how to develop procedures, required by the standard, to master the methodology of energy analysis and the development of energy-saving measures.

Training Audience: The course is intended for employees, involved in the implementation of energy management systems, as well as for internal auditors of energy management systems (mechanics, energy experts, technologists, foremen, leading experts, heads of departments, etc.).

First day (10.00-17.00)

• The structure of ISO 50001: 2011. Systematic approach to energy management. Compatibility with other management systems.
• "Stages of system implementation" The algorithm of implementation.
• Commitment of top management. Management representative. Working group. Organizational structure EnMS. The role of EnMS Service. Defining the scope and boundaries of EnMS.
• Energy policy - the document, containing management's commitment in the field of energy efficiency.
• Energy analysis and its structure. Methods of energy analysis.
• Identification of legal and other applicable requirements. Analysis of applicability. Assurance of access. Conformity assessment.
• Identification of variables, as well as the performance of plants, systems, equipment, processes, significantly affecting energy use. Indicators of energy efficiency.
• Energy management - a key document of EnMS. The structure of the main and supporting documentation of EnMS.

Second day (09.00 – 17.00)

Energy planning

• Identification of areas and factors of energy significant use. Collection and analysis of energy data. The role of energy audits results, energy audits, benchmarking of energy effectiveness for the implementation of EnMS.
• Basic line and basic period. Energy targets. Methods of targets development. Programs of energy saving measures. Ranking of measures.
• The requirements of standard in relation to the operational control, engineering and procurement of products, equipment and energy. The requirements of the standard to the "Competence, training and awareness."
• Administrative tools of the staff motivation to the energy saving. The requirements of standard to the "exchange of information". Internal and external communication with stakeholders. The requirements of EnMS internal audits. The requirements to auditors. Difference between EnMS internal audits & technical audits (energy audits) and their interrelation. Formalization of EnMS audit results.
• "Measuring, monitoring and analysis." Metrological support. Measuring equipment. Standard requirement to management review.

Final Exam

"Methodology of Energy Management System Development in Organizations & Requirements of ISO 50001:2011" training course is carried out in a discussion with the participants with the usage of practical exercises.
